 A Strategic Principle details a significant challenge, idea, or opportunity facing Tuscarawas County. It is an item that will have a significant positive impact in one of the five focus areas if implemented. One Hundred Fifteen Strategic Principles were submitted by the Task Teams.Those Strategic Principles were analyzed by the Task Team Leaders to determine which crossed focus areas in order to identify the integration points. What became apparent is that each of the focuses is intertwined at many different levels. The key, then, is to understand these points of integration and recognize the development of doctrines - a rule or principle that forms the basis of a belief, theory or policy - at those integration points. Tuscarawas 2020 refers to those doctrines, where the Strategic Principles overlap, as Convergent Principles. Use the links to the left to learn about the 7 Convergent Principles.
